Dana Point to San Clemente

Perfect weather, perfect scenery, perfect company… I walked today with Monica – our daughter-in-law’s brother’s wife’s mom. If that sounds confusing, we just call them our ‘extended’ in-laws.  We’ve seen each other often at family gatherings over the years, but we’d never had one-on-one time together and it was a joy!

Spotlights This Week:
Always: Hope Chapel Missions
Charity Spotlight: Intervarsity Christian Fellowship
Church Spotlight: Coquille Foursquare Church (Praise Center) – Coquille, OR

Much of the day was on bike and pedestrian paths, passing the Dana Point Harbor, then through and beyond the San Clemente pier and beach – a really pretty area.

For my remaining days of walking, I’ll be staying in host homes again. I’m currently staying with our son’s in-laws (thank you Pat and Lesley!) – and just as with Monica, it was nice to be able to chat with them more than I’ve been able to before.

I’ve now walked 1600 miles! 8 walking days to go…

28 And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. 29 For those God foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brothers and sisters.30 And those he predestined, he also called; those he called, he also justified; those he justified, he also glorified. ~ Romans 8:28-30

  1. Only 80 miles to go! That’s just amazing. It seems to most of us like you just started yesterday, though I’m sure your feet don’t feel that way. Continuing to pray the Lord watches over you at the end of your “Scheduled” walking. God bless you Ms. Laura!
