San Marcos Pass to Santa Barbara

Well now, that was intense. For my final 10 miles in San Marcos Pass there was no construction zone to help me out – so I had to deal with traffic on traffic’s terms! It was so heavy and fast that I couldn’t let my guard down for even a second!

Charity Spotlight: California Abilities Network
Church Spotlight: First Baptist Church – Florence, OR

At least I didn’t have to worry about using my bike. I was close enough to Santa Barbara that I was able to use Uber to shuttle me to my start point. Everything turned out fine, and I’m thrilled to be walking through Santa Barbara tomorrow. Sidewalks, shopping & restaurants on State Street followed by bike paths and beaches. Oh – and buses! Can I get an “Amen!”?

Larry noted that when I exited the Los Padres National Forest today, it was my final forest on this trek! I chose to commemorate the event as my photo of the day:

But He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.”  Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me. 2 Corinthians 12:9
